Hey!...
I just added 9 more pics...
http://www.photographictendencies.com/SD/
Well...we were at the japanese place and he walks by to go to the bathroom...when he comes out I shake his hand. We ended up talking about Eric who passed away...mentioned to get my work done by Juan in Hollywood. He and Donny are moving Black Kat Kustoms because they are getting too big for their current location....(good to here!) Since he's a big fan of junkin' we talked about the best places in TX for auto salvages and junkin' places...lol
Since he was at the Austin record release starting at midnight the night before he was heading out to catch a cat nap before the show...
My wife laughed that my buddies and I were glazed over while talking to him. It's pretty funny...I shoot celebs, rock stars, bands all the time...I don't get star struck...
But since Mike is my idol, I felt as giddy as a school girl...lol My wife'll be teasin' me for years with this one...
Tre'
oh yeah...and when I complimented him on the new CD he thanked me and laughed....he said that he hadn't gotten one yet...

tre,
great story man. funny story...way back in 1992 i went to see social d at a place in santa ana called the "rhythym cafe" (its now the "galaxy")and i parked my care ouf front and started walking to the front door. there was this railing separating the "in" line from the "will call". at this time there was only a couple people outside and there was this really short, scrawny guy leaning up against the end of the rail watching the people walk by. i walked up to him and asking him which line was i supposed to stand in and he pointed to his left. i thanked him and moved on. when the show started, that guy turned out to be mike. i felt like an ass. i guess the difference though is back in 92, he wasnt the big rock star he is now, at least not as big anyways.
BTW, i LOVE the shots you took. Now i really like the one thats focused on his goldtop and he is all blury. Great action shot. There is a photography contest every year at the orange county fair. it is always my favorite part of the fair. i think some of these shots could be entered.
you rock man
steve
